Controllers
Reisemedizin Tirol is run as an Ordinationsgemeinschaft (shared-premises practice association) made up of two independent sole practices. Under data protection law, each doctor is therefore the controller for their own practice:

1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit a website. Websites can also use other storage areas of your browser, such as local storage (localStorage) and session storage (sessionStorage). In law these are treated the same way: what matters is the access to your terminal equipment, not the technology used.
2. This website sets no cookies
We do not use cookies – neither our own nor those of third parties. No Google Analytics, no Facebook pixel, nothing comparable. Our web analytics (Matomo) also works without cookies: no pk cookies are set and no data is stored in your browser. We serve fonts from our own server; no external font services are embedded.
3. What we store in your browser instead
So that the website works, we remember two items locally in your browser. They stay on your device and are not transmitted to us:
- consent-map (localStorage) – remembers that you have loaded the map view. Stays stored until you delete it.
- praxis-popup-… (sessionStorage) – remembers that you have closed a notice. Deleted as soon as you close your browser.
These entries are strictly necessary for the operation of the website within the meaning of § 165 TKG 2021 and therefore do not require consent.
4. Embedded third-party content
One area of our website is loaded from an external server. It is blocked to begin with and only loads once you explicitly click on it:
- Map view: loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap. Your IP address is transmitted to OpenStreetMap in the process.
As long as you do not click, no connection to this provider is established.
The chatbot Klaus uses a service provided by Friendly Captcha GmbH to check whether a request comes from a human. Your browser connects to this service only once you open the chat window – as long as you leave it closed, no connection is made. Friendly Captcha sets no cookies, but does store technical data in your browser’s local storage (IndexedDB) to avoid repeated checks. The chat history itself is held only in memory and is gone when the tab is closed.
5. Settings in your browser
You can delete or block cookies and local storage in your browser at any time. You can find guidance on this at aboutcookies.org, for example. If you delete local storage, the map view is blocked again and will ask you once more.
6. Amendments to this policy
We reserve the right to update this cookie policy as necessary. You can always find the latest version here on this page.
